A Novel Distributed Re-phasing Strategy in Smart Grids Based on Game-Theory and IOT
Abstract
Integrating conventional electricity meters with IOT is the quickest solution for migrating to smart grids. Since implementing demand response programs has a considerable importance in smart grids; in this article, the possibility of performing load balancing as a DR program through smart meters is investigated by showing the mechanism as a non-cooperative game with regard to the IOT infrastructure of the proposed novel smart meters. They are fed in three phases and apply smart re-phasing based on the proposed algorithm. The algorithm is dependent on the communication between smart meters and distributively designed which has a computationally tractable concept. Simulation is achieved for a smartgrid inclusive of 123 nodes and 1024 consumers. Its outcomes validate excellent presentation of the recommended strategy in decreasing unbalancing, mitigating neutral currents and peak load reduction.
