The dynamics of diesel-generator unit in isolated electrical network

Marija Mirosevic, Zlatko Maljković, Daniel Pavlinović

Abstract

The paper analyses the use of modelling and simulation in order to achieve optimal small isolated power system. Mathematical model of integral motor drives has been developed, consisting of: diesel engine, synchronous generator and motor drives. Developed mathematical model enables numerous investigations. The aim of this paper is to study dynamics during direct-on-line starting of induction motors.

Keywords

Isolated electrical network, diesel generator-unit, synchronous generator, torsional torque, induction motor starting.
