Multi Renewable Source Integrated Distribution System for Optimal Power Sharing with Synchronization to Grid

Abstract


This paper discusses about a grid feeder line connected to distribution system with multiple renewable sources injecting power to the grid. In previous researches renewable sources are interconnected to only micro grid system which feed only local loads. More over only a single type of renewable source is interconnected. In this paper renewable sources like PVA, wind farm and fuel cell which are considered as distribution generation units are interconnected to the grid at distribution voltage level for sharing of power to the loads. Novel MPPT techniques for maximum power extraction from the renewable sources are considered which include fuzzy MPPT and voltage feedback oriented control.Converters and controllers for the renewable sources are modeled for synchronization to grid voltage with proposed novel SRF method. A comparative analysis is considered of the given feeder test system without and with the DG units connected at three different buses. The renewable power sharing to the loads reduces the power consumed from the main grid.All the voltage and power graphs are compared for different operating conditions and are validated in this paper using MATLAB Simulink software with time domain plotted graphs.
